A certain writer said: “Just as the world is fed up with me, every day I am more tired of the things of the world.” Beloved brothers, we are partakers of heavenly things, of the grace of God, which we have acquired through the death of His Son on the cross. Jesus has promised us a great reward in heaven, but He also assured us that we would have struggle and difficulties, that this path would not be easy, that we would be hated by all, and we must be prepared for the world to hate us.
The message of Jesus was never an easy message, nor was a message to satisfy others, He never compromised the divine message with human fame, always remained obedient speaking to the people the divine message. It is good that we know that, how difficult the message of Jesus is, it is not an entertainment park where we enjoy its wonders. But another thing that we must understand is that despite being a very difficult road we have an award, that despite being hated by all we have a joy, a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that the world can not give us. That peace is given by Christ and if there is someone who is not a Christian reading these lines we want them to know that Christ gives a peace that crosses every line regardless of the problem.

A great reward
============
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:12
We ought to be glad if we are accepted as servants of the Lord. We need our Lord God to take us as servants of Him. Although Jesus commands his disciples to preach the Gospel everywhere in the World, not all people of God have gifts or are chosen for being messengers of our Lord Jesus teaching publicly to save those who are chosen to salvation.
However, we must not forget we all are called to testify by our good behavior to all people we meet, giving reason of our faith to any of them, trying to advise them about the need to believe in our Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from eternal damnation.
We are bearing a good witness if our works are good, joined with God’s Word.
Unbelievers who are guided by the Devil will try to reject the gospel and persecute us because we are not running with them, they scorn, even imprison, or kill us… but, rejoice! Says the Lord, our reward is in Heaven. We are servants of God. Our Lord cheers up us by a great reward in Heaven.
The attitude of a servant of God should be humble, refusing any reward, for we do not deserve any reward.
This is what our Lord Jesus taught his disciples:
“So likewise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.”
Luke 17:10.
May the Spirit of God guide us to serve Him looking for his Glory.
Amen.
