Our struggle is not against flesh and blood

It is true that when Christ brings us to His ways we begin to live the best life we have ever lived, but it is also true that the beginning of the Christian life is very similar to a marriage, in the beginning of a marriage we seem to have no problems and it seems that everything goes rosy, but then we begin to pass processes, difficulties, and exactly that happens in the Christian life, everything seems to start easy, but then we see that it becomes difficult, uncomfortable, trials, etc.

But, we must remember that Christ never promised to be comfortable, although He did promise us to have a peace in the midst of those difficulties, which the world does not give us.

We have a war, a struggle, which is not easy, and we must put on the armor of our God to be able to persevere in this constant struggle, and we must know that Christ is with us every day, until the end.

The apostle Paul wrote:

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:11-12

We must take these words of the apostle very seriously. The Christian life is not like many people think, it is not a Five Star Resort where with a telephone you ask for everything you want and they take it to your room, no! The Christian life is based on a struggle and not any struggle, but a struggle against spiritual beings, a struggle against ourselves and if we are not clothed with God we can not win.

Sometimes we believe that we alone can win a battle and that is totally false. In the sports world, in order to be victorious, the best team must have players who know how to share plays, must have a manager who knows how to make plays and that same thing happens in the Christian faith, if we fight on our own we will lose, but if we fight The Christian life with God as manager we have all the win and no one can against us.
