The tomb is empty

While Christ was on this earth He spoke to His disciples that the Son of Man had to be crucified, but He also told them that on the third day He would be resurrected. While Christ was on the cross, some people said to Him: “He entrusted himself to God, now why does not His God save Him?” Christ suffered the reproach to free us from hell and sin, and His most tender words on that cross were: “Father forgive them because they do not know what they are doing”.

After having the three days of Christ dying on the cross passed, the Bible tells us that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb and at that time there was a great earthquake. This earthquake was because an Angel of the Lord whose appearance was like lightning descended from heaven removed the stone from the grave. The guards who were at that place were perplexed by such a scenario. It was simply a moment worth admiring and it was the biggest scenario in the history of mankind: The King had risen, Christ had risen from the dead.

The Bible continues narrating:

5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Matthew 28:5-6

The truth is that Christ had risen from the dead as He had said before, and that Christ rose from the dead is something great, death could not against Him, the earth could not keep Him, He rose with great glory He stood up, and no longer as a lamb that went to the cross, but as the King of the whole universe. There is no longer a Jude who delivers Him, nor a Pilato who washes his hands with presumed innocence, and there are no more those who say: “We want Barabbas, not Jesus.” Now He reigns with power and we give glory and honor to Him for ever.

You feel sad? Christ resurrected. Do you feel tired, without strength and that you can not anymore? The tomb is empty! May this be your motivation in the Christian life.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:6

The angel said to women: “Come and see the place where he lay”
Women do not found the body, the tomb was empty, the Lord Jesus Christ had resurrected.

God, the Father, should not leave the soul of Jesus in hell neither he would not suffer his Holy One see corruption, as was prophesied.

Besides, it was necessary that Christ was resurrected to show the World he is God, the second person of the triune God, that we have not believed in a man who dies like other prophets or religious líders, as Buddha or Mohammed who died, but we believe in the only Begotten Son of the eternal Father, the Lord God almighty, who is living for ever more.

In fact, the tomb is empty

We have believed in the Lord Jesus, who by his death on the Calvary has justified us and made us adopted children of God.
    Jesus Christ..

“Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.” Romans 4:25
