I have poured my soul before the Lord

When we have something we should value it and not provoke other people to get irritated or provoke them to feel envious of what we have, because these things are not pleasing to God. To talk about this, let’s look at Hannah’s story.

Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk

1 Samuel 1:13

Hannah could not bear children because she was sterile, and as if this were not enough, at her very advanced age, and she suffered even more because her husband had children with another woman named Penina.

Penina always looked for a way to make Hannah feel bad, throwing her in the face that Hannah did not have children and she did. When Hannah heard these words she became very sad.

Hannah was so afflicted in spirit that she prayed for herself and only her lips moved, so when Eli saw her he thought she was drunk. However, what happened to her was that she was very afflicted in spirit.

and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.”

1 Samuel 1:14

ButHannah, with tears and anguish, told the Lord that she wanted to conceive a son to dedicate him completely to Him.

“Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord.

1 Samuel 1:15

After Eli asked for this woman named Hannah, God fulfilled his request after a while. Every day we must be confident that God will not be late, but at the necessary time.
