Rejoice that your name is written in heaven

Do you remember that day when God saved you? Is not that the greatest day of your life? We suppose that it must be the greatest day, since it was a supernatural day, where God broke the paradigms and broke down the barriers that separated you from Him. I do not think there is a better day than that. Particularly, the day that God saved me was great and I rejoice in it and in the same way I hope that you can also rejoice in it.

We have to make the parenthesis that there are those who have shining ministries, and believe that their salvation concludes in that, but this is not what matters most, then, you can have a successful life but this does not mean that you have really been saved. What makes us saved? The only thing that makes us saved are the works of Christ on the cross, His blood shed, His resurrection from the deads, not our works.

Without a doubt, Christ spoke to us about this topic and said:

17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, β€œLord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

18 He replied, β€œI saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10:17-20

Clearly here we see 70 people who went to do the work of the Lord and came extremely rejoiced of all that had happened in their ministry, however, here it seems that Christ turns off the fire a little so that they finish understanding what is that really matters and says: “But do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

In the same way, that our joy does not come simply from the great works that God does through us, but from the finished work of Christ on the cross and in this way we can give glory to His name.
