Worship God in spirit and truth

The Bible tells us about the adoration to God from beginning to end, from Genesis to the Apocalypse, and is that for God this point is very important, even the prophet Isaiah said: “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him”. We have been created to worship Almighty God and that must be the thought of every Christian on this earth.

But there is another very important thing that we must understand, and is that to worship God is not only to say “glory to God” or “alleluia” or to play any instrument, to adore God goes beyond all that and it is important that we understand it.

Jesus says:

23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

John 4:23-24

Jesus here is clearly speaking about a genuine adoration, which goes beyond words, an adoration that has to do with our day to day, with our personality or for more clarity, that adoration that has to do with our actions. The Bible also tells us to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice.

That hour of which Jesus spoke to us has already arrived, that hour in which there are true believers who adore the Father with all their hearts and we must look at ourselves in front of that mirror and ask ourselves if we are being that type of worshipers.

Let us adore the Father in spirit and truth, with all our mind, heart and all our strength.
