Sometimes we find ourselves in critical moments in which we feel so bad that we go from one place to another seeking refuge in man, but remember that our refuge is not in man, but there is a God who can restore us.
In this case we will talk about the psalmist David when he was going through a difficult time, David had bad moments where he was persecuted by his enemies, but he went before the presence of the Lord and asked for help to restore him.
God came to his aid and blessed him in a special way. The Lord helped him get through that bad time, but the most important thing is that God saw in David’s heart the way he humbled himself before God.
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Remember that David had a very strong fall, but he did not exalt himself, but humbled himself before the Almighty God.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
This is an example that we must have every day, be humble and recognize our mistakes before God, humble ourselves before God to tell Him to renew our spirit, and not to throw us out of His presence, but to restore us.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
God does not reject the prayer of the righteous, nor forsake him, does not reject the one who is heartbroken, but everyone who comes to Him is received and is helped to move forward. Our confidence is to be in the hands of the God of hosts.
