Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?

One of the ways for the young man to clean his way is to give himself to the Lord with all his heart, body, soul, and spirit, and keep in mind that he must follow His statutes so that everything in his life be different.

When a young person walks in bad steps everything goes wrong, believing that he is doing the right thing, but many people point out to these young people giving to understand that their life is bad and that all they do is to hurt others.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Psalm 119:9

Much of today’s youth just think about doing everything that goes through the mind, their thoughts are set on stealing, killing, committing all kinds of atrocities, which ends up destroying their lives for such causes.

But something that must happen with the youth, is that the young person must move away from his evil ways and keep the word of God in his heart, because immediately the young people begin to keep the Word of God in their hearts, everything will change in their life.

I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
Psalm 119:10

It is important to hear these beautiful words spoken by the writer of this chapter, implying that he is always looking for God, but he asks the Lord not to let him deviate from the Lord’s thoughts, but he mentions an important word where he says that He is looking for Him with all his heart.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11

Just as this man keept the statutes of the Lord with his heart in order to not to sin against Him, so the young man must keep the Word of God in the depths of his heart.

Young, it is important that each day that passes you keep the Word of God in the deepest of your heart, for when the bad times come, the trials and attacks of the enemy, you have strength to be able to continue forward in the name of the almighty God.

In our current world, where young people face constant pressure from social networks, entertainment, and environments that do not promote holiness, walking in purity can seem like an impossible mission. However, the psalmist shows us that the true transformation of a young person begins when he aligns his decisions with the Word of God. This is not a superficial change, but a deep commitment that shapes thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

One of the greatest challenges for the youth is identity. Many do not know who they are, and because of this they let themselves be guided by trends or by friendships that offer nothing good. But when a young person discovers his identity in God and understands that he was created with purpose, his path begins to clear. The Word becomes a lamp that guides him even when everything around him seems dark. God is willing to direct every step, but the young person must be willing to listen.

Another important reality is that a young person cannot keep his path clean by relying on his own strength. Temptations are real, distractions are many, and human will is weak. That is why the psalmist insists on seeking God with all the heart. When the Word is hidden inside, like a treasure, it becomes a shield that protects from sin, a reminder of what is right, and a source of wisdom when difficult decisions appear.

Furthermore, the youth must understand that walking with God is not a momentary decision, but a daily discipline. Prayer, reading the Scriptures, fellowship with other believers, and obedience forge a character capable of resisting evil. Even when mistakes occur, God offers forgiveness and restoration, encouraging the young to rise again and continue the race with perseverance.

Young people who embrace the Word of God become examples in their homes, schools, and communities. They shine in the midst of moral confusion and become agents of change. Their testimony has the power to transform environments and inspire others to seek the same God who has renewed them. A young person filled with the Word is a young person with purpose, direction, and hope.

Therefore, if you are young, do not underestimate what God can do in your life. Start today to keep His Word in your heart, surrender your ways, and allow Him to shape your future. God desires to lift you up, strengthen you, and guide you on a clean and firm path. And if you are an adult reading this, remember to encourage the youth around you, teaching them that there is no safer path than the one God has traced in His Word.

The Lord examines the mind
God has not given us a spirit of cowardice
