Riches do not endure forever

Riches can be the worst of evils, but these can also be good to help your family and people who are in precariousness. However, these may end, so there is a well-known phrase that may have been taken from the proverbs, which says: “Nothing lasts forever.”

There are many presumptuous people in this world who, when they reach a certain economic position, forget the poor mass, thinking that those riches will last them forever or they will take something away after their death. Friends, nothing we have is eternal, remember the case of Job, he had all the riches you could have, plus a stable family and good health, however, in the blink of an eye everything he had it was taken away, why? Because everything in this life can be finished and we must be prepared for this.

The proverbial said:

Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring.

Proverbs 27:1

There are many people who live with some boasting for their acquired goods, but this should not be a reason for boasting, but we should know that the things of this life are temporary, and that we should not trample on others, because certainly in a tomorrow we can also need them.

On the other hand, the proverb also says:

23 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks,
give careful attention to your herds;

24 for riches do not endure forever,
and a crown is not secure for all generations.

25 When the hay is removed and new growth appears
and the grass from the hills is gathered in,

26 the lambs will provide you with clothing,
and the goats with the price of a field.

27 You will have plenty of goats’ milk to feed your family
and to nourish your female servants.

Proverbs 27:23-27

The Bible also commands us to keep what we have, because nothing lasts for ever. We can not spend and spend without thinking about what can happen tomorrow, yes, the fortunes are exhausted, since that is not an eternal value, and for this same reason we must be wise enough for when the difficult days come we have on what to sustain ourselves .
