Who can harm us, if we have Almighty God, our helper and strength. Remember Psalm 23 that tells us that the Lord is our shepherd, and that for this reason we should not fear anything because, in delicate places, He will take care of us and guide us in paths of justice.
In our Christian walk, one of the truths that sustains our faith is knowing that God is always present, even when circumstances become overwhelming. The psalmist David experienced moments of deep anguish, persecution and loneliness, yet from those same valleys he lifted a song of confidence. This teaches us that trust in God is not born when everything goes well, but precisely when storms surround us and human strength is not enough.
The most impressive thing is that, the psalmist David, asked the Lord to help him and take care of him wherever he was, there were moments where the life of this man was in dangerous places, but God came to his aid and freed him.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5
These words from the book of Hebrews remind us that our security does not come from material things, nor from human provision, but from the unchanging promise of God. He has said that He will not leave us, and when God speaks, His Word stands firm throughout all generations. Many times anxiety arises when we cling too tightly to what we have, or when we worry excessively about what we lack. But Scripture invites us to live with gratitude, trusting that the Father knows our needs before we even express them.
God allows trials in our lives to glorify us, and through this makes us understand, that only God is in control of everything, and that our blessings will come when He knows that we have already changed our attitudes.
God said: I will not forsake you nor leave you alone, because the Lord is faithful and fulfills His Word as He promises. He is a God who does not like lying in anything, but the Lord teaches us that speaking lies is not the right thing to do.
o we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”
Hebrews 13:6
When we understand that the Lord is our helper, then fear loses its power. Human threats, criticism, or challenges cannot prevail against the one who shelters in the shadow of the Almighty. David lived this truth repeatedly: when he faced lions, bears, enemies, and even armies, he knew that none of them had more authority than the God who protected him. This same confidence should govern our lives today.
When we are trusting in the Lord, we will not fear man, because the Lord is our helper. It is good to remember that the psalmist David pronounced what the Lord was doing in his life, He said that the Lord was his helper, and this is what we should do, glorify and exalt the name of God with all that we have.
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Hebrews 13:7
It is good that we study His Word each day as we have been taught, because in it is the truth. God gives us wisdom through His Word.
And as we meditate on these teachings, we learn that faith is strengthened when we look at the testimony of those who walked before us and remained firm. Their lives remind us that God never abandons His children, that His help is constant, and that His guidance is perfect. Therefore, let us walk confidently, knowing that the same God who sustained David and all His servants continues to sustain us today.
