God does not ignore the cries of the afflicted

The Word tells us that Almighty God listens to the prayers of the afflicted. God helps them in their walk, gives encouragement to their spirit, and feeds their hopes every day. He is a God who bends down to hear the cry of those who have no strength, who supports the weak, and who renews the hearts of those who feel overwhelmed by life’s burdens.

He does not forget those who are heartbroken, but He takes care of each one of them, regardless of their need and regardless of the place where they are. The God of armies fights for everybody, whether rich or poor, known or unknown, strong or fragile. His eyes observe the earth, His hands sustain His children, and His mercy covers all those who cry out to Him in truth.

For all who trust in Him are blessed, because God watches over them and defends them. He is comfort to the soul who is afflicted, rest for the weary, and strength for those who feel like fainting. The hope of every human being, whether they realize it or not, is in the hands of God, and only in Him can we find true refuge and security.

Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 9:10

It is good to recognize God in everything we do and to thank Him for His wonders. He does not forsake the one who is ill in spirit, because God is his breath, his food, his source of strength. To know God’s name is to trust Him deeply, and to trust Him is to recognize that He has never abandoned those who seek Him sincerely.

How good it is when we read His Word! Remember that when we do this, we strengthen ourselves in spirit and our hearts are filled with joy. The Scriptures are a fountain of life, a lamp in our darkness, and a guide in our confusion. For this reason, it is good to concentrate every day on the Holy Word, because through it God teaches us, corrects us, encourages us, and leads us along the path of righteousness.

Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;
proclaim among the nations what he has done.

Psalm 9:11

Sing joyfully, all the earth! Mention the name of the Lord with all your strength, because He is worthy of honor and glory. Let us give thanks each day to the God who makes everything possible, the God who governs the universe, the God who never loses control of anything. His works deserve to be proclaimed to the nations, His wonders deserve to be remembered from generation to generation.

For he who avenges blood remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.

Psalm 9:12

We can say with confidence that the Lord always has His children present. He remembers justice, He remembers mercy, He remembers every tear shed in silence. He demands that we adore and glorify Him and that all peoples, languages, and nations know His wonderful works. God does not ignore our cries—He hears them, embraces them, and acts according to His perfect will.

There is deep wisdom in His Word, because all true teaching comes from the Almighty. For this reason we cannot deny His Word, nor minimize it, nor forget it. In it we find the truth that the world cannot give us. When we read the Holy Scriptures, we discover the power, glory, greatness, and compassion of the strong and courageous God who governs heaven and earth. And this God, eternal and sovereign, bends down to listen to the cry of the afflicted. Blessed be His name forever.
