We rise up and stand firm

Who do we trust? Every person in this world relies on something or someone, we all place our trust in some kind of hope, even if in the end we fail or emerge victorious. A great example is the story of the Titanic, its creator trusted so much in his gigantic ship that he dared to say: “Not even God can destroy it”. But to his surprise, that confidence he had on his ship was destroyed. So, I go back and ask: On whom is our hope placed? Will we trust in the mighty chariots of Egypt or will we trust in the Lord? Will we trust in ourselves or trust in God?

Throughout the history of mankind, many people have been able to place their trust in politicians, in high personalities, in athletes, in pairs, and many of them have been betrayed and their hope fell off a cliff and this has created that they end being highly depressed and losing their confidence in everything that happens to them on the way. Perhaps you who are reading this article have passed and at some point in life you have found that you do not know what to do, or who to trust.

However, the Bible tells us about a person called God, who, if we place our trust in Him, He will never fail us and that hope will not go off a cliff, because God does not lie, or break His promises.

The psalmist David knew how to trust God when he said:

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.

9 Lord, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call!

Psalm 20:7-9

David is saying that all these people have confidence in things that in the end we end up disappointed, weak and fall, but we, those who have put our trust in God, even though we are lying in the middle of the road we recover with new strength, we get up like the eagle, we are renewed and we drink from the fountain of water of life in the middle of the desert.

The afflictions are nothing to collapse us, the tide is not high enough to destroy us, the process is not strong enough to disrupt us, the arrows are not powerful enough to take our breath away, the sword can not cut us, because our trust, our hope, our strength and our lives are entrusted to a powerful and benevolent God.

Oh dear friend, dear and beloved reader, our God saves those who trust in Him, our God listens to the afflicted, He never abandons us and in our most difficult hour we can fully trust Him, because even though we can not see Him, He is there protecting us, loving us, hugging us and telling us: “Do not fear, I am with you”.

Christ died for the ungodly
It is better to trust in God
