Some people give thanks to the Lord and others do not, and this raises an important question: is this correct? Many of us have something very important in mind, and it is that there are people who truly know how to thank God, but there are also many who live their lives without ever recognizing His goodness. Thanksgiving is more than a polite gesture—it is an acknowledgment of God’s hand in everything we are and everything we have.
We must not only thank God for earthly things, because there is something far more important for which we owe Him gratitude: the gift of life itself, and above all, the gift of salvation. Without His grace, we would be lost forever, but through His mercy He has given us eternal life. No material blessing can compare to this. Our hearts should overflow with thanksgiving simply because He has saved us and made us His children.
Many people have not wanted to understand that without God we cannot move forward. Only He helps us so that everything in our lives goes well, and whenever we have a need, He is the One who supplies it. People often believe that their strength, intelligence, or opportunities come from themselves, but the truth is that every good thing we receive is a gift from God. Recognizing this produces humility and gratitude in our hearts.
Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
Philippians 4:18
Sometimes we thank God only for what we receive—material blessings, provisions, health, or success. But it should not be so. We should not wait for God to give us something in order to give thanks. We must thank Him even when we have nothing in our hands, because His love, His mercy, and His presence are more than enough. Yet, in His immense goodness, God still gives us our daily bread regardless of whether people thank Him or not.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
The author of this letter had full confidence in God, knowing that the Lord would always supply everything he needed. But today many people attribute what they have to “luck,” “destiny,” or their own effort. They fail to see the true source of every blessing. Whether it is food on the table, breath in our lungs, or strength to work, it all comes from God’s riches in glory. When we acknowledge this, gratitude becomes a lifestyle, not an occasional reaction.
Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Philippians 4:20
Let us give thanks and glory to the Almighty God who lives and reigns forever. Even though we are undeserving of each one of the blessings He gives us, we receive them daily because of His great mercy and love. God does not bless us because we are good, but because He is good. And for that reason, it is good that we give thanks and glorify God in both our good times and our difficult times.
Thanksgiving should not depend on circumstances but on who God is. Whether we walk through abundance or scarcity, joy or sorrow, God remains faithful. Gratitude keeps our hearts aligned with His will, and it reminds us that we are never alone. May we learn to thank Him continually, recognizing that every breath, every opportunity, every door opened, and every blessing comes from His mighty hand.

Thanks for your today’s message. I don’t believe people thanking God in every single good thing that happened to them especially on social media. I see it as hypocritical way of thanking God.
ButI am concerned about one thing. When you are having problems and troubles, people said that it’s because of carelessness. BUT I strongly believe that nothing happened unknowingly to God. And also I believe that whatever happened, it is his will because if not his will, definitely he wouldn’t let that happen but when I said this to people, they said am wrong. Would like to know more
Amen
