Reaching riches, good position, good economic and social status is the dream of virtually all human on this earth, living comfortably, who does not want to live without scarcity? We all want to live a quiet life, without worries. More, how bad it is when those riches come and we forget that all we have is a loan that God has made us and that someday we will not be able to enjoy it.
There are very rich people in this world, so rich that they have already lost the sum of how much they have in the bank, however, some of these people find it hard to help the needy, which would not create any imbalance in their finances and here is where this becomes a deep love of money, and Jesus said that no one can serve two masters, because they will love one and hate the other, and this refers to the love of money.
There is a famous saying that says: “Everything that goes up has to come down”. So, just as money comes into our hands, it can go, and if we have the opportunity to do something good with what we have, then we should not stop doing it.
Martin Luther, a hero of the Christian faith, was characterized by helping those most in need, often, he was left with nothing to help others.
The apostle Paul said:
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
1 Timothy 6:6-8
We could make a section talking about this, since the Bible speaks on more than one occasion. Jesus emphasized this, the proverbs also and here the apostle Paul. And how not to remember those words that Job spoke in his great calamity: Naked I came out of the womb of my mother and naked I will return there, the Lord gave, the Lord removed, be His blessed name.
This we must have very clear, we have not brought anything to this world and certainly we will take nothing with us. We should be happy if we have shelter and sustenance, giving thanks to God, without complaining, because remember, there are people who do not even have that and if we can also be a blessing for those people, let’s do it!
