God, the greatest

Telling the wonders of God is like looking at the sky and pretending to count the stars. Can you imagine how many stars there must be in the universe? It is an immense quantity, which no human can count and in the same way we can only say fragments of the wonders that God does, because the wonders of God are countless just as the stars.

God is the greatest, greater than any existent or existed being, He is incomparable in power, He is the one who controls all things and everything that breathes, everything that moves exists because He exists. Do you know what this means? This means that the glass of water that you took this morning you could have taken it because God is great.

The prophet Isaiah also spoke of the greatness of God to the people of Israel, saying:

12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?

13 Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor?

14 Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way?
Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?

15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales;
he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.

Isaiah 40:12-15

This text gives us a detail of how powerful our God is. God is not fragile like us, His power is not limited, He does not depend on time and space, the universe is not great compared to Him, is there something difficult or impossible for God? I explain a little about who God is:

This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?

Isaiah 66:1

God is very powerful! And this is not a Marvel story, nor it is about the X-Men, not my friend! Our God is real and His power surpasses all the powers of the earth. That is the God we serve, and His power is unlimited, no one can teach Him, no one is wise enough to tell God what to do.

This article is a good starting point to know who God is, what He can do and how those impossible things for us are possible for Him.

  2. God, the greatest
    ++++++++++++++
    We can see God’s Creation of everything: and we can see it wherever we look.
    We believe that all things are created by God, that God who is our all in all. The Bible tells us how marvellous He is.
    So, we understand the words of Isaiah, as a human way to explain to us how great He is. Verily, God is the greatest.

    “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
    Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?

    Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way?
    Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?

    Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales;
    he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.” (Isaiah 40:12-15)

    Indeed: who has made all things we see and those we cannot see but we know exist? He is an incomprehensible being, whom we can’t see because He is Spirit.

    We have received a lot of blessings in our lives; He is our protector and our heavenly Father by the Lord Jesus, who has made us acceptable before Him.
    It is by the Spirit we can call God our “Father”; and we must adore Him in spirit and in truth.
    “But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.”
    (John 4:23)
