God does not lie

Every day we hear different lies that can come either from politicians, at work, from people who share daily with us, and this often weakens our credibility in others, and we even stop believing in God’s promises because we do not see them being fulfilled in our time, and this often makes us believe that God is a liar.

This reality affects many people, incluso a aquellos que llevan años en la fe. La constante exposición a la mentira humana puede crear un ambiente de desconfianza que poco a poco se va infiltrando también en nuestra vida espiritual. Cuando vemos personas fallarnos, estas experiencias nublan nuestra capacidad de confiar plenamente en Dios, aun cuando Él ha demostrado una y otra vez ser fiel a Su palabra. Es importante entender que esta lucha interna no nos hace débiles, sino humanos. Por eso debemos aprender a distinguir entre la fragilidad de las promesas humanas y la perfección de las promesas divinas.

The point here is that we should be very aware that the time of God is not like ours, God does not do things when we believe that it is necessary to do so, God always has the best for us, His plans are eternal and do not fail, and I assure you that in the way of God everything works out better than we do, since we are experts making mistakes, of which we later regret with tears of blood.

Cuando entendemos la diferencia entre el tiempo humano y el tiempo divino, podemos descansar con mayor confianza. Dios ve lo que nosotros no vemos, conoce nuestro pasado, nuestro presente y todo lo que está por venir. Él no improvisa, no actúa por presión ni por emociones cambiantes; Su voluntad es perfecta, y cuando decide actuar, lo hace con propósito. Muchas veces queremos que Dios responda de forma inmediata, pero si Él lo hace esperar es porque está formando algo en nosotros: paciencia, carácter, fe y total dependencia de Su voluntad.

The Bible says:

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Numbers 23:19

Are you waiting for something that God has promised you? Do not hesitate to keep waiting and trusting, because if God promised, then He has to fulfill what He has promised, but in His Time.

I repeat: God is not like us humans, He is holy, He can not lie and this we must have extremely pending.

Mientras esperamos, muchas veces somos tentados a dudar, a pensar que quizá malinterpretamos la promesa o que tal vez Dios cambió de opinión. Pero este versículo deja algo claro: Dios no es hombre para que mienta. Su fidelidad es parte de Su esencia y Él siempre cumple lo que determina en Su soberana voluntad. La espera puede ser difícil, pero es precisamente en esa espera donde nuestra fe se fortalece.

I love a phrase by Charles Spurgeon that says:

The old saying is as true today as it was when it was said for the first time: “Life is a marathon, not a little rush.” Life certainly requires perseverance, so wise travelers select a fellow traveler he never tires or hesitates. The partner, of course, is God. Do you find yourself tired? Ask God for strength. Are you frustrated? Believe in His promises. Are you defeated? Pray as if everything depended on God, and work as if everything depended on you. With the help of God, you can persevere … and you will.”

We trust fully in God, since when it seems to us that God is silent, He is working.

Aunque no siempre veamos resultados inmediatos, Dios jamás abandona a los suyos. Su silencio no es ausencia, sino preparación. Él actúa en lo invisible, mueve piezas, abre puertas y transforma circunstancias mucho antes de que nuestros ojos puedan notarlo. Por eso, perseverar en la fe no es una opción, sino una necesidad para todo creyente que desea ver la manifestación de las promesas divinas. Dios obra en Su tiempo, y Su tiempo siempre es perfecto.
