Jesus, the bread of life

Who is Jesus? Jesus himself says:

I am the bread of life.

John 6:48

When the Bible tells us that Jesus is our bread of life, it is because without that bread our spiritual life is not the same, because He is our sustenance, He is who sustains us in all difficult moments.

This bread is very important, this is what sustains us and it is the Word of God, Word of Life, these are true, they are the ones that clarify all the doubts that we have.

We have several examples like David, this man was always asking the Lord to help him and restore him, because he felt very bad and had many enemies, but always the Lord gave him victory, He saved him from all evil and everyone who wanted evil for him perished.

We also see how He took care of each of the disciples, as well as Moses in the desert that had received the Word of Life and accepted it and as it is, that as even though he did not know how to speak, he denied to speak to Pharaoh, but God strengthened him and he helped him speak the word that the Lord sent to Pharaoh and the people of Israel.

Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.

John 6:47

This is very true, Jesus in every place he visited during his ministry, always wanted to make understand the people around him that He was the bread of life, and that he who ate that bread would never be hungry, with this Jesus would not meant that it was a material bread, but He was referring to spiritual bread. This is the bread that when we are in doubt clarifies everything.

Bread that spiritually fills us every day, and that never ends, is called Jesus, the author of every word of life.

Just as he gives us His Word it is good to share it with those who do not yet know of this great truth the “Bread of Life called Jesus”.

Let us be wise in the Lord and not ignore those who have not yet eaten this excellent bread, who may also have the opportunity to drink from that water that flows like a river of living water.

This water that when it enters our being cleanses us of all impurity that is inside us, this water that refreshes us, that gives us the strength to continue forward, and is the Almighty God.

I invite you that if you have not drunk this water or eaten this bread, then you should do it because it is very important to do it since that is what allows us to live eternally.

When Jesus declares Himself as the bread of life, He is presenting one of the deepest and most transformative truths of the Gospel. Bread in biblical times was not simply food; it was the main element of sustenance. In the same way, Jesus is the essential source that gives nourishment and meaning to the soul. Without Him, our spiritual walk becomes empty, fragile and easily shaken by the storms of life. With Him, however, the heart finds direction, rest and the strength needed to continue despite adversity.

Throughout Scripture we see how God reveals Himself as the One who provides all that His children need. David testified that God restored his soul, guided him and delivered him countless times. These stories are not merely historical events; they are reminders that the Bread of Life has always sustained His people. Every believer today can take refuge in the same truth: that Jesus remains the One who lifts us up when we fall and who fills every void that nothing else can satisfy.

In the same way, Moses experienced the sustaining power of God when he felt incapable and insecure. His limitations did not prevent God from using him, because divine strength does not depend on human ability. This also teaches us that the Bread of Life is not only sustenance but empowerment, the One who equips the weak and gives wisdom to those who feel unprepared.

Jesus insisted that whoever believes in Him has eternal life, and this truth becomes even more profound when we understand that spiritual hunger is universal. Every human being seeks meaning, peace, forgiveness, and hope, but only Jesus can satisfy those needs permanently. Everything else is temporary, but the nourishment He gives is eternal. When He fills us, doubt is replaced by clarity, fear by courage, and emptiness by a profound sense of purpose.

For that reason, sharing this bread is a responsibility and a privilege. Many people around us are spiritually hungry without even realizing it, seeking satisfaction in material things that do not last. Offering them the Bread of Life is offering them the only truth capable of bringing real transformation to their souls.

Finally, the invitation remains open: whoever has not eaten this bread or drunk this living water can come to Jesus today. He continues to cleanse, restore, refresh and give eternal life to all who believe. Nothing is more urgent or more necessary for the human soul than receiving the One who truly gives life.
