We as Christians need something that enlightens us in our long walk and that illumination that we need so much is called the Word of God. It is very similar to the people of Israel when they went in the desert, they were guided by the same God through a column of clouds and another of fire. Unlike them, we have the powerful Word of God, which is useful for any work that we are going to undertake.
In Psalm 119:105 it says:
Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.
This is a good statement. The psalmist is saying here that everything he does is under the Word of God, every step he takes, every movement, and we have to do the same, since we men tend to fail and the only thing that makes us be right is the Word of God, it will always lead us to the best place or, rather, to the right place.
On one occasion Peter made a very similar statement before Jesus, when he pronounced:
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
John 6:68
There are many words spoken by great Greek philosophers, by great emperors, but none of these words have been light to our ways and none of them have eternal life, however, the Word of God is full of eternity and helps us at any time of our lives.
Let us walk as children of light, refugees under His Word and in this way we will not walk in the dark without seeing what is ahead or behind, but His Word will guide us to all justice and truth because His Word is Truth.
We do not believe that story that the Word of God is boring, since it is not so. We invite you to read it, to study it and we assure you that everything will be better.
The Word of God not only guides us, but it also corrects us, sustains us, and shapes our character. When a believer walks without the Scriptures, he walks without direction, exposed to the deceitfulness of his own heart and to the distractions of this world. But when we submit our thoughts and decisions to the counsel of God, we begin to experience a clearer path, because His truth acts as a compass that always points toward what is right.
It is important to understand that the Bible is not merely a historical book or a collection of moral teachings; it is the living voice of God speaking to His people. Every time we open the Scriptures, we open a door for God to instruct us, comfort us, and shape us according to His will. Many believers testify that in moments of crisis, it was a single verse or a single chapter that brought them clarity, peace, and renewed strength to continue forward.
Just as the people of Israel depended daily on God’s guidance in the desert, we too depend on His Word to navigate a world filled with confusion and uncertainty. Without the Scriptures, we are left to interpret life through our limited understanding, but with them, we perceive the eternal purposes of God and learn to discern what is good and pleasing before Him.
Furthermore, the Word of God exposes areas of our life that need transformation. It reveals hidden attitudes, corrects our wrong motives, and teaches us to love what God loves and to reject what He rejects. This process is not always comfortable, but it is essential for spiritual growth. The more we immerse ourselves in Scripture, the more our mind is renewed and our decisions begin to reflect the character of Christ.
There will be times when we do not feel the desire to read the Bible, but discipline and faithfulness in seeking God through His Word will eventually bear fruit. Little by little, the Scriptures begin to illuminate our mind, strengthen our faith, and deepen our relationship with the One who gave everything for us. Being guided by the Bible is not optional for the Christian life; it is indispensable.
Therefore, let us approach the Word of God with reverence, joy, and expectation, knowing that every page contains wisdom from above. If we make the Scriptures our daily bread, we will walk firmly, even in difficult times, because the One who speaks in them is faithful and His promises never fail.

His Word is our roadmap to Heaven and instructions on having a good life while here on earth His Word is nigh thee even in thy heart and in thy mouth.

To think about God our Lord and to read his Word is life for our souls. The Lord God inspires us, and gives us comfort and rest. The people of God can’t live separate from his Word; they can’t forgo their reading of the Bible everyday; for:
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
(Psalm 119:105)
Our fellowship with the Lord gives us the light we need to separate ourselves from evil
