You just have to be calm

Are you in a problem that you do not know how to solve? Are you in a crisis that you think you never overcome? And in that moment of great sorrow you ask yourself: How will I get out of this? We even dare to say: “God has forgotten me.” And we began to question God in a thousand ways, we feel abandoned by others and we feel that the whole world is against us and because of this many people say: “Everything goes wrong.”Have not you thought, that perhaps this that happens to you will bring you closer to the divine purpose of God? One thing that should characterize the people of God is trust in their Creator.

Our God is not a cruel master, God always wants us to cry out to Him and put our problems before Him. Our Lord is not like a human being, He never tires of listening to our problems, on the contrary, He tells us in His Word:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

Philippians 4:6

Come on! If you feel so distressed and you are going to different places, I want to tell you that you have not gone to the right one, which one is the right one? God! He is our savior, our redeemer and He is there waiting for us to present all our difficulties. And the most important thing of all is that we do not have to take a turn, no matter our skin color, our economic status or anything like that, we just have to present ourselves before Him with gracious action.

In chapter 14 of the book of Exodus we will find a story where we witness an extremely difficult moment, because, at that moment the Israelites were going to cross the Red Sea, but not only they were going to cross it, but behind them came the pharaoh and his army. This was a very difficult time for that people, however, we can read the following:

13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 14:13-14

Did you know that in hard times God pronounces the same words to us? Yes, in those cruel moments God tells us with all tenderness that it can be expressed: “I fought for you and you must be calm”. Never forget that in our difficult times the God of heaven fights for us. We are not alone, we have the most majestic company we can have.

We also find in the Word of God another verse that can give us great encouragement in those moments:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

God promises us strength, He promises to be with us and to give us victory. Have you ever thought that you will never get out of those moments? If you have thought that then you should not think like that, you should trust each one of His promises.

Our God also has great promise for those who trust in Him:

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:31

And if you have thought that in your trial you are alone and that the enemy is going to destroy you, then you should know this:

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2  Thessalonian 3:3

Undoubtedly God has promised to be with us. Can not you see Him in your test? Then we say the same thing that Spurgeon said: “When I can not see him, I will shelter under the shadows of His wings.”

To finish this article, I want you to meditate on the following verse and make it yours from this moment:

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26

...
Blessed are those who believe without seeing
Have you lost the joy of salvation? You need to recover it
