We all have or feel different types of needs in our lives, a vacumm that wants to be filled with something, be it fun, company, support, etc.
Many times these desires to fill that vacuum lead us to make mistakes that we never finish overcoming, that remain marked forever in our minds. Maybe you who are reading this writing also feel that way and have tried to fill that void that is getting deeper and deeper and that there seems to be no end to that search to fill it.
14 I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
Ecclesiastes 1:14
This vacuum remains insatiable even when we are the smartest in the university, the best employees, the most intellectual in the things we do; we simply realize that none of that fills us and we feel frustrated, since despite our achievements we still feel that strong vacuum that does not leave us.
You feel that your life is totally solved, that you are doing very well, you have the best family, the best employment, you have a wonderful life. But when you enter in your room, when you are alone, without your family, without your friends, you realize that you are alone and you feel frustrated because none of these things can satisfy you.
This emptiness can not satisfy you no matter how you search and try, because that emptiness can not be filled with material things, rather, that emptiness is begging you every minute you need God, that emptiness is the trace of your Creator who claims you to serve Him and this is the only way you can fill it.
In our youth we do and do, but we do not remember the most important thing, that’s why the proverbist Solomon said:
1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”—
2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain;
3 when the keepers of the house tremble,and the strong men stoop, when the grinders cease because they are few, and those looking through the windows grow dim;
4 when the doors to the street are closed and the sound of grinding fades; when people rise up at the sound of birds, but all their songs grow faint;
Ecclesiastes 12:1-4
Many hold the idea that there is no God, so they do not have to remember Him at any time, but the point is that the vacuum continues there and they even have to think about God, do you know why? Because we, human beings, have the traces of our Creator in our heart and that is why our interior claims its existence, claims its presence.
The Bible teaches us that the laws of God are written in our hearts:
14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law.
15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)
Romanos 2:14-15
We can not flee from God, we can not escape from the presence of our Creator. The psalmist once said:
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139: 7-10
We are simply trapped, we can not flee to any place, our thoughts stun us, they claim us again and again the presence of God and it is the only way in which we can be satiated. Run to God, go to His presence, rest in Him, discover how beautiful it is to dwell in His presence. Our God is great and powerful and there is nothing in this world that can fill us more than He.

I have felt that way especially when my mom died 3 years ago it feel like yesterday. We have such a longing to be with God at times but knowing it is in his plan for us to complete the work he has assign to us. I have to run to him when I feel this way in order to get some direction. God is always present when we need him but we do not always feel he is but he is

The imprint of God in our hearts
======================
When we walk towards the promised House of the Lord, we can feel alone since others have abandoned their determination to attain the goal; or maybe they were not chosen but only called people.
And we are alone, we think. But we are with the Lord, without knowing it, like those disciples on their way to Emmaus. We don’t go alone along the Way: because we have the imprint of God in our hearts.
In our difficulties, in our troubles, we beseech the Lord for help. Then we find we are not alone, because he answers our supplications. He shows us we are his; we are known by Him. He is our loved Father who is in Heaven.
Our names are imprinted in the Book of Life, and he knows us and watches our ways and lives. So no adversary can harm us: because God’s chosen children have their Father’s name written in their foreheads.
(Revelation 14:1)
May the name of God the Father be glorified. And glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, who has made us worthy of all spiritual blessings through the Holy Spirit’s work
