Forgive and you will be forgiven

When we have problems with our partners or our loved ones and we do not forgive them, this becomes a big problem every day that torments us in our lives.

Our minds will always be disturbed because we have something pending, and our heart will feel pain and until we forgive, this pain will continue to embitter our hearts.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:25

Forgive and ask for forgiveness is something that many do not like, forgiveness is not only for those who are in faith but also non-believers have to adjust it in each of their lives.

We have to know that there was someone who was mistreated, beaten and crucified on that cross by each one of us, and yet He forgives us. He does not reject us but tells us to forgive all those who do us wrong and love everyone who deceives us.

If our Lord has mercy on all of us, why can not we have mercy on others? Who are we before Him who is the Almighty?

We must be humble and act with maturity, and be responsible in everything we do, that if we make a mistake we must amend it, and apologize to everyone we have offended.

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mark 11:26

As imperfect beings that we are, we must forgive all those who deceive us, those who do evil, those who judge us, those who beat us.

But we have one that is fair and sees all the things that human beings do, although sometimes we think that there is no one who looks at us.

It is not good to be ignorant before each of these things, Jesus himself said that if we do not forgive, neither our father who is in heaven will forgive us and this is because we have no mercy for others. It is good that we have a God who sees all this and He forgives us, so we must forgive everyone who offend us.

    =====================
Speaking with some people, I have noticed how difficult it is to forgive others their offenses, much more to recognize we are guilty of something done to others, or for our errors at any time.
Really we never feel transgressors, but rather keep a feeling of revenge when someone has attacked or insulted us.

It’s true that when a Christian offends others or gets annoyed with someone, he is worried about that and seeks to have peace with him, remembering this:
“Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath.”
    (Ephesians 4:26)

But sometimes we wait for that other person to take the first step to a reconciliation, and so days or weeks pass along without peace. Then the gospel advises us:
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:25

Another handicap we find when we do not forgive others their offenses, is that our time of prayer is affected. We can’t have fellowship with God if we don’t have peace with our brother or other people. Besides, the holy Scripture tells us we must be in peace with all people. It is written in the epistle to
    Romans 6:12:
“If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.”

It’s clear the Lord God wants us to forgive others their offenses, and so He teaches us in his prayer when we say:
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12)

May the Lord God give us a spirit of forgiveness, as we think about our Lord Jesus Christ, who had to suffer and was humiliated—yes, and died for us!—so that our sins were forgiven.
Let’s be grateful to Him, considering the Father’s great love towards sinners like we; and resting on the power of the Holy Spirit who did that work in us
