When we have problems with our partners or our loved ones and we do not forgive them, this becomes a big problem every day that torments us in our lives.
Our minds will always be disturbed because we have something pending, and our heart will feel pain and until we forgive, this pain will continue to embitter our hearts.
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Mark 11:25
Forgive and ask for forgiveness is something that many do not like, forgiveness is not only for those who are in faith but also non-believers have to adjust it in each of their lives.
We have to know that there was someone who was mistreated, beaten and crucified on that cross by each one of us, and yet He forgives us. He does not reject us but tells us to forgive all those who do us wrong and love everyone who deceives us.
If our Lord has mercy on all of us, why can not we have mercy on others? Who are we before Him who is the Almighty?
We must be humble and act with maturity, and be responsible in everything we do, that if we make a mistake we must amend it, and apologize to everyone we have offended.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:26
As imperfect beings that we are, we must forgive all those who deceive us, those who do evil, those who judge us, those who beat us.
But we have one that is fair and sees all the things that human beings do, although sometimes we think that there is no one who looks at us.
It is not good to be ignorant before each of these things, Jesus himself said that if we do not forgive, neither our father who is in heaven will forgive us and this is because we have no mercy for others. It is good that we have a God who sees all this and He forgives us, so we must forgive everyone who offend us.
Forgiveness is not a feeling that comes overnight; it is a decision that begins in the heart and is strengthened through obedience to God. Many people wait to feel ready to forgive, but the truth is that the heart rarely feels prepared on its own. Forgiveness is an act of the will, motivated by the example of Christ, who forgave even when those around Him did not value His sacrifice. When we choose to forgive, even if the wound is recent or deep, we begin a process of restoration that brings peace to our soul.
Harboring resentment drains our strength and consumes our thoughts. Day after day, bitterness grows and becomes a heavy chain that limits our spiritual life. For this reason, Jesus teaches us that forgiveness is essential, not only for healthy relationships but also for maintaining communion with God. When we forgive, we release others, but most importantly, we free ourselves. We allow God to heal what was broken and to bring clarity where there was confusion.
It is also important to understand that forgiveness does not always mean forgetting or restoring a relationship to what it once was. Sometimes forgiveness means releasing the offense and allowing God to deal with the person who hurt us. Other times, it involves rebuilding trust slowly and wisely. What matters most is that we keep our heart clean before the Lord, showing mercy just as He shows mercy to us each day.
Many relationships have been destroyed because of pride, and families have been divided because someone refused to take the first step toward reconciliation. Forgiveness requires humility, and humility is a sign of true spiritual maturity. When we choose to humble ourselves, we imitate Christ, who—despite being King—lowered Himself to serve, love, and forgive even the worst of sinners.
Let us remember that forgiveness is a command, not a suggestion. God cares deeply about our relationships because they reflect His character. A forgiving heart demonstrates that we have understood the depth of the forgiveness we have received. When we forgive others, we are proclaiming the grace of God, showing that His love is greater than any offense committed against us.
Therefore, if today you feel a burden in your heart because of an unresolved conflict, take a moment to examine your life. Ask God for the strength to forgive, even if the process feels difficult. He will give you the courage and peace you need. Do not allow bitterness to govern your days; instead, allow forgiveness to open the door to healing, reconciliation, and spiritual freedom.

Forgive and you will be forgiven
=====================
Speaking with some people, I have noticed how difficult it is to forgive others their offenses, much more to recognize we are guilty of something done to others, or for our errors at any time.
Really we never feel transgressors, but rather keep a feeling of revenge when someone has attacked or insulted us.
It’s true that when a Christian offends others or gets annoyed with someone, he is worried about that and seeks to have peace with him, remembering this:
“Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath.”
(Ephesians 4:26)
But sometimes we wait for that other person to take the first step to a reconciliation, and so days or weeks pass along without peace. Then the gospel advises us:
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:25
Another handicap we find when we do not forgive others their offenses, is that our time of prayer is affected. We can’t have fellowship with God if we don’t have peace with our brother or other people. Besides, the holy Scripture tells us we must be in peace with all people. It is written in the epistle to
Romans 6:12:
“If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.”
It’s clear the Lord God wants us to forgive others their offenses, and so He teaches us in his prayer when we say:
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12)
May the Lord God give us a spirit of forgiveness, as we think about our Lord Jesus Christ, who had to suffer and was humiliated—yes, and died for us!—so that our sins were forgiven.
Let’s be grateful to Him, considering the Father’s great love towards sinners like we; and resting on the power of the Holy Spirit who did that work in us
