Psalm 24 is very important, since it speaks of God as creator and king of the entire universe. Some people have wanted to deny the existence of a creator God, but we firmly believe in the biblical teachings that speak to us about God and I believe that Psalm 24 is perfect to speak about the God creator of the heavens and the earth, and of course , of the entire universe.
These verses are an affirmation that God is not only the creator of the heavens and the earth, but He is also the master of His creation. In those times, like these, men tried to deny the existence of God. That generation was idolatrous in a great way, nothing different from the next generations! They adored even a stick, animals and objects that we can not imagine. Within the people of Israel there were also those who worshiped other gods, so the psalmist reminds them that the Lord is the King of all creation, there is simply no other God.
All the creation, every tree, every bird, the clouds, the stars, the sun, the seas, the rivers, the human being, everything has been created by God and He has authority over His work. It is as a certain preacher said: “The earth is the stage of God, and in his stage He does as He likes”. Nothing less than that, God is the owner and as creator owner He does what He pleases.
There are those who will say: If He owns everything, why does He allow pain, thefts, diseases? That answer is simple: God does not manipulate the human being, we are not puppets, we are people with independent mentalities. That is, God allows certain things for a certain time, but there will come a time when evil will receive its retribution.
I love the last verses with which the psalmist ends his powerful statement:
7 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory.

Those triumphant entries that are made to the presidents of a nation or to important people can not be compared to the reception of the King of the whole earth.
These verses make me think a lot about that moment when Jesus overcame His death on the cross. When He was resurrected on the third day, when He was received in glory, I imagine how powerful that moment was when heaven received the victorious Christ, the angels proclaiming firmly and kneeling before His power saying in one voice: “Raise yourselves, eternal doors, and the king of glory will enter! The victor, the King of the whole universe, Hallelujah!
We have a great and victorious God. Let us seek that God with all our heart and believe in Him with all firmness.
