The protection of God in the tribulation

There are difficult moments in our lives that come and make us think that God is not with us. But it is not so because Jesus left us to the comforter to restore our lives.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1

The author of this Psalm gives us to understand that God is with us, in the midst of despair, in the midst of anguish, of difficulty, of weakness and that He does not leave us alone, He is always there to comfort us.

The meaning of consoling is to alleviate the pain or anguish of a person. I had to console a friend for the death of his father. To help someone through good words or caresses to endure his anguish. I consoled him by telling him how much he is worth as a person.

Jesus left the Holy Spirit to be with us in the midst of our anguish, as His word says in the book of John 14: 16,17

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—

17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 14:16,17

It must be said that in this book, Jesus is reminding us that we must wait for His promises, keeping His Word in each one of our hearts, and that because of that He would not leave us alone, but leaved the comforter to be with us all the time.

We must believe that the Holy Spirit is with us, all the time, and wherever we are. And it is good that we do not forget this promise that is what can keep us on our feet, this is what helps us in all these moments that come to us.

The daily life brings us various surprises which are accompanied by good and bad things. But it is good to be clear that the words of the Lord, are those that restore us, free us from all the disturbances that come to our lives.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Psalm 46:2-3

The author of this Psalm says that we should not fear anything, because God is there to help us. Although the waters are wild and the mountains tremble, because He who created all things can control these problems in our favor.

Why should we be afraid? God is strong and courageous and for Him nothing is impossible.

  1. I believe in God always, I pray everyday, but my problem is , I have lot of mistakes and lies to my family, can you people of God pray for me

    1. We know once we are in Christ Jesus we are made New, but yet we are still in our sinful nature, always ask Jesus to forgive for even in our very thoughts and motives we sin daily, but even in that Satan can keep bringing back to our minds our sin and make us feel unforginen, though this is not true, for this to stop happening we need to seek forgiveness from the ones we have wronged, this will bring peace to your mind and heart,
I have done this many times and even though some people say it’s forgotten, you don’t need to, I tell them I do and I apologise and from that moment I feel free,

  2. Sometimes as Christians we feel very lazy in praying. Why? Because the devil know that prayer is the key that can destroy his wicked powers in the world that is why it makes us feel lazy and sometimes we even forget to pray. May God let the holy sprit feel our heart as Christians so that we do not fall into temptation. Thank you Jesus hearer of prayers please lead us.

  3. Jesus Cristo disse que ele é caminho a verdade e a vida. Creia nisso que Deus te proteja trazendo muitas alegrias e realizações em sua vida.

    ======================
As the psalmist says, God is our refuge and strength. He is always present on our way, wherever we go. It is true that He does not abandon us: because he is our good Father who is able to be present anywhere at a time. He is all in all, and our sure refuge in our troubles. (Psalm 46:1)

In believers the Spirit of God abides. He was sent to protect, console and help us here on this earth, while we live here among wicked people who have banished God from their lives.
That Spirit of God, that people of the world cannot feel or accept, is present and lives in our souls: in those who believe in God the Father by Jesus Christ our Saviour.

He is the comforter promised by Jesus, that was sent after He was back in Heaven with the Father.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” John 14:16,17

If we believe in the Father and in the Son, we must believe in and accept the Spirit of God also, because he was sent by the Father and the Son. He is with us, to intercede for the children of God, and He lives with and defends us against our enemies. Through the Spirit of God we will have protection in tribulation.

Let’s be grateful to God for his great love with which He loved us, through Jesus Christ; and also for the Holy Spirit, who lives in believers
