God sees each one of your tears

Suffering is something very terrible that the human being experiences in his short life, but I think it is even more terrible for those who are struggling without God.

There is a story of a Christian couple who had a daughter named Bristol. This girl was born with strong health complications and because of this, that couple had to dedicate one hundred percent of their time in the health of their daughter, and of course, not only time, they also had to spend a lot of money.

Imagine yourself, this couple, of course, shed countless tears in the presence of the Lord, their hearts must have been totally broken. See the fruit of your life suffer, writhing, cry for so much pain, this must break the heart of every human being. And these parents went through exactly this cruel pain.

Can you already imagine the great pain that this couple went through? They shed tears until they could not, however, you know what? Even though that girl died, God always knows why he allows things, but what you should know is that God saw the suffering of those parents, God was not isolated in a corner. God is also aware of our tears and sufferings, and I assure you that He has counted each one of our tears.

The Bible says:

I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

Psalm 6:6

Yes, we also feel tired of crying for some situations in life and this is not easy. The psalmist felt that way too. And do not want to imagine yourself for all the sufferings that many servants of God have had to endure. But all of them always had something in common: “They trusted fully in God.” And this is what remains for us, to fully believe that God is watching us every time we cry and that his help comes at its time.

The Psalmist tells us something that should relieve us if we are going through times like these:

Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

Psalm 126:6

No matter how great our suffering is, well, we will soon be screaming with such joy, reaping our hard work. Well, if you did not know, the Lord will one day reward our work. Praise God for this.

Finally, did you know that those who weep are blessed? The Bible says:

Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

Luke 6:21

Remember this: God is looking at each one of your tears.

It is often said: “We are passing through a valley of tears”. Pains and troubles are usual things in this world; sickness and disgrace are counted every day. We hear about people who are killed or commit suicide. Many tears are shed and sometimes people do not have anyone who comforts them.

“I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. Psalm 6:6

In the portion of Scripture we consider in the article, the psalmist is groaning in his innermost being, which is caused by attacks from his enemies. In his anguish, he asks for liberation and the Lord listens to him:

“The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
Let all my enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.”
    (verses 9-10).

The psalmist can rejoice in the Lord, who has seen his tears and hears his supplication; but there are a lot of people that do not have anyone to help them.
Nowadays some non-governmental organizations give out material and offer help to people in disgrace, but they do no receive comfort for their souls. They suffer their troubles and look for an exit to his misery and sometimes they fall into alcohol addiction, drugs or suicide.

That is a consequence of sin, happening since the beginning, there in Paradise. Pains and troubles will be inescapable for humankind for as long as they are in this world—a situation which, for some of them, seems unbearable because they live as if they were in hell before the time.
And yet the Lord God delivers us, believers, from Hell: by faith in Him, in Jesus Christ’s person. Indeed, it is a nice blessing to live here under the Lord God’s shelter.

We may pass through pains and troubles, like others; but we know—by faith in his promises—that all things which happens to us are predetermined by our Lord. And they are used to increase our faith, our prayer life, and they cause us to have fellowship with Him. Our bodies and souls are blessed.

While we hope for that day when the lamb of God, Our Lord Jesus Christ, will be with us in the Father’s House:
“For the Lamb which is in the middle of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
    (Revelation 7:17)

And God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes. May the Lord be blessed.
