Sometimes we are involved in such difficult problems that we believe that we will never leave them, and we begin to doubt the powerful promises of God, but we forget that Jesus will always be in our boat, regardless of the storm that is whipping us.
In this article we will talk about the wonderful works that our Redeemer did while he was on earth:
45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
Mark 6:45-52
First we must highlight the dangerous panorama in which the disciples were: It was night and the weather was not in their favor, it was completely a horror movie. They were completely desperate, and although they had already seen the miracles that Jesus had done, it still seemed to be difficult for them to give all their trust to Christ.
In verse 48 of the passage that we have just read, we find a tremendous message for everyone who finds himself in a similar situation. At the beginning of it, Jesus is watching the disciples paddling and tired. This is the reflection of Christ’s concern for our difficulties and He wants to succor us.
When the storm came upon those who were in the boat, Jesus did not stayed on ground with His arms folded watching His unbelieving disciples suffer before the inclemency of the weather, but He went towards them walking on the sea. When seeing this, the disciples were very disturbed because they thought it was a ghost.
At that time the disciples forgot the storm, and it was not the problem anymore, the problem now was the supposed ghost. But Jesus spoke to them so they would not fear, for He was no ghost, it was He who came to them to help them.
And in the last verse of the passage that we are analyzing today, the storm finally calms down when Jesus gets into the boat, and the disciples were amazed and marveled greatly.
In the same way Jesus enters our boat when we are afraid, because the storm is too great. In those moments Jesus comes with his sweet voice of love and tells us: I am with you.
Believe in Jesus with all your heart and He will always be with you.

You are here Jesus
===============
It is a wonder for our souls that we can believe that, in all kinds of imaginable, difficult situations in our lives, Jesus is present: he is near us. He knows our problems and he is ready to help us.
I can bear witness to how he has helped me in some distressing events in my life…
“For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.” (Mark 6:50)
We can’t see Jesus in person; but we can feel his presence in our lives because we receive answers to our petitions. We can also see, by faith, how his hand has dealt with our problems. We must not impute the solution to fate or destiny, or to some people who have taken part in the matter. We have prayed to Jesus, and we can feel in our minds that he says to us:
“It is I.” Yes, it is the power of God through Jesus Christ, our saviour.
And Jesus has said to us also: “Come to me”.
“Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
It is good for all of us to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts, and tell him our things—so that we may be helped if we are heavy laden. He wants to help us. He is the Way to the Father, and we are heard by Him always. And because of Him we are given either a quick solution for our troubles, or patience so that we can wait for it.
Let’s keep near Jesus, trusting him. He is ready to help those who seek Him
Thank you Jesus for Grace and Mercy.
