What is the gospel? The gospel message is “good news”. What is the good news? Without a doubt, despite the fact that this message has now been exchanged for other messages very distant from what the Gospel really is, it is a message of good news, and the good news is that Christ came and died on the cross, and rose again to save sinners.

The Word of God says in Romans 1: 16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

First of all, it is necessary to point out that this letter was not written to the Jews, it was to the Romans, to a people that was not called the people of God, however, the great apostle was taking them the news of salvation to that people, a people that was not Jewish. I assure you that they knew who the Apostle Paul was in other times, a man who was a great Pharisee who knew the law, instructed at the feet of the best teacher of his time.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel”. This expression has much to teach us, since Paul, who now believes in the Son of God, was perhaps mocked by the Pharisees and all the learned of the law. However, the apostle now says that he is not ashamed of his new life, of the message he is transmitting, Why? Because the gospel is the power of God, and he rejoices to be able to talk about the most important news that has ever reached humanity.

Why is this message the power of God? It is the power of God because it is the only message that can resurrect the spiritual dead, it is the only message that can change lives, it is the only message that can change the worst sinner, exactly because it is the power of God.

This message has transformed us and we are not ashamed of this good news, although the world mocks us, we say together with the apostle: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God”

Our best praise

    ===================
    God be blessed by all his people and all his Creation: for he is love and has loved this World in such a way that he sent his beloved Son Jesus Christ to die on a Cross. He had mercy on sinners who believe in Him through Jesus Christ.

    The blessed Gospel of Jesus Christ is life for those who believe, but it is condemnation to those who do not believe on Him. As is written:

    “He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:18)

    This Gospel is a wonder and our liberation from the Devil’s power. The Gospel, indeed, is the power of God to salvation; and it is manifested by faith in those who hope for the Lord Jesus Christ and his Work.

    May all of us, who have believed in Jesus Christ, give all honor and glory to the Father and Son, and to the Holy Spirit of God
