Let’s meditate a bit on the book of the Proverbs of King Solomon, chapter 2 verses 5 and 6.
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:5,6
Here we can see how Solomon exalts the wisdom of the Lord and reminds us to understand that fear of the Lord will lead us to have more knowledge of His Word.
We can see today how the people of God perish for lack of knowledge, this teaches us that we must understand that the wisdom of man flows from the Lord, that knowledge comes from the Lord and that from Him comes the intelligence
And this teaches us that without his wisdom we can not understand or do anything, so we should cry out to God and ask Him to give us wisdom and understanding to understand His Word every day.
We must also remember that without wisdom we can not go forward, and remember that God appeared to King Solomon and said:
7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9 Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
Solomon here asks the Lord only for wisdom to be able to lead his people that was was great in number. He did not ask for any other thing because he knew that wisdom was what he needed deal with the people.
We must have in our minds, that we must have wisdom to be able to do things well and pleasing to God, because without Him we can not have wisdom and we will not understand His Word nor speak of it. Ask the Lord for wisdom because nothing is impossible with God.
Excellencies of wisdom
==÷÷÷=÷===========
Among all the gifts the Lord can give to us, the first thing we need is wisdom to please Him and help others who are near us: the people of God, or those who let you help them.
Solomon tells us that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God.
People need to believe that God exists
and that he rewards those who seek Him. To respect and to submit our lives to Him is characteristic
of wise people—just as it is to separate ourselves from evil, pleasing the Lord. In fact, He has given us his Law to lead our lives.
“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
(Proverbs 2:5,6)
It’s the Law of God which gives us a sense of love, justice and mercy. We need the Lord God to change our minds and our souls so that we may seek Him. And his work in us is also necessary so that we can adore Him in Spirit and truth, accepting His Will.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
Let’s seek the Lord God asking Him wisdom to manage our lives. And may we live near Jesus Christ, our Good Pastor, who was sent to give us eternal Life
