Today we see how times have changed and continue to change, this happens because of the disobedience of man, where he has completely forgotten God, and if we see this Bible verse we will realize that it is true:
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mateo 24: 12-13
These verses explains to us what is happening in this perverse world, how the love of many has cooled down in a great way, that we observe the events that happen every day: People take the life of the other for nothing, commit murder and suicide, and this really happens when we turn away from God totally. If we are far away from Him then the evil one comes and takes power from our lives, to do whatever he wants and finish us and with those who remain around us.
In 1 Peter 4: 8 the author tells us clearly what we should do and what we should have:
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8
Here he is telling us that we must have fervent love; because love will cover a multitude of sins, and this is what the human being has not wanted to understand, that God offers everything. And that only in Him is true love, because the Word is clear and sharper than a double-edged sword. One of the most important commandments in the Scriptures is love of neighbor. The Lord tells us: You will love your neighbor as yourself.
But the human being is walking on roads of perdition committing all kinds of atrocities, regardless of the damage they can cause to others. But something clear that we must have is that if we repent of heart God forgives us, and this is where the Bible refers to that love will cover a multitude of sin.
Concluding this article, it is good that we take into account what the Lord is telling us here in this Biblical reading, and that it is good that we read and analyze what we are doing wrong and that we stop, and reflect that only Christ can give us the true love.
Love covers a multitude of sins

Let’s read 1 Corinthians 13, and let’s see how charity is described. It
is so important that the apostle says:
“though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profits me nothing.
(1 Corinthians 13:3)
It is known that we all fail a lot of times, and forgiveness of faults is necessary to live in peace with God and with people. An important reason to forgive is that our lives here have an end: we do not know when we shall depart from this world and go to meet God and his judgment. So we are advised to be sober in our way of living, to watch and pray.
“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”
1 Peter 4:8
The love of God was manifested towards men and women of the world. The Lord Jesus Christ loved us and, by his sacrifice on the Cross, he covered the multitude of sins.
All believers in Jesus have been forgiven, so we must forgive others, as our Lord taught us in his prayer. Those who feel forgiven should also have fervent love for each of their brothers.
The Lord Jesus Christ said:
βA new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.β (John 13:34)
May our Lord sustain us and give us more and more of his great love, considering that he loved us so that we too can love our brothers fervently.
