The boastfulness of life

Today we meet different types of people, who are involved in different areas, both secular and religious. There are both Christians and non-Christians who boast. But these people forget that without God we can not do anything and that even the Bible says that all this will happen but that the one who is in Him remains forever.

Here we will quote the book of 1 John 2:16 where it speaks clearly to us of this great truth, that everything that is there is created by Him, and that everything will perish in this life.

16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

1 John 2:16

Today we allow ourselves to be dragged by the desires of the flesh, and we allow ourselves to be seduced by money, as the Bible says in the book Timothy:

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

1 Timothy 6:10

And this is what happens with everyone who has the money in the first place, and thinks that it is the primordial thing in his life, then, after having money, he already thinks that he has everything, and begins to boast and say “I have a lot of money with which I can do what I want, I can walk around the world without anyone stopping me because I am a powerful person “.

Many times we forget that God became man, came and died for each one of us. He gave himself up for us so that we can know how to humble ourselves and act with love towards others, and this is what Jesus wants to teach us, that the glory belongs to God alone.

And to conclude it is good that we reflect on this word, that lead us to give honor and glory to Almighty God, and that we approach God every day, and that we stop boasting with everything we have and if you are doing this it is good that you turn to God and do not delay in turning to Him. God bless you.

  1. The boastfulness of life
    ==================
The Bible tells us that evil thoughts proceed from out of the heart: thoughts that lead us to act and do evil works, as the gospel of Matthew says in chapter 15, verse 19.
“For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:”

Those evil actions are manifested in every being which is born of a woman. In the world we can find people who act by the impulses of their minds, their hearts, so it is a standard thing to meet people who do evil things.
The apostle John advises us not to love the world, which means their evil things, which are contrary to God’s will: and that is because we can be influenced by ungodly people and act like them.

“For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.” 1 John 2:16

Boasfulness comes from our thoughts: that boastfulness which is manifested when people think of themselves as important, as a result of their actions. They glory in themselves. They are pr
proud people, and sometimes they look down on others who (as they feel) are inferior.
That is the boastfulness of men and women of this world, of this life.

The lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, the boastfulness of life, do not come from God the Father but from the depraved hearts of people who live in this world. We must not love evil actions of the world: but, rather, we must love people as poor human beings who don’t know the almighty God—who is the only one who deserves all honor and glory. We ought to speak to them of Jesus, who is the Saviour of all people who believe in Him.

Let’s pray that the Lord God may deliver us from falling into sin, when we feel enticed to act by the lust of our flesh.
