Psalm 66 is one of my favorite Psalms, due to the fact that it urges us to praise our God for its powerful works, and it is something we must do in our day to day, praise God for all the wonders He has done for us and all this starts from giving thanks for the air we breathe and most important: Christ died for our sins and has redeemed us. Is not this a sign that we should give glory to God?
Let us remember that one of the Hebrew customs was to remind all generations of the mighty works that God had done for the people of Israel, so that the following generations would never forget how majestic and good God has been. They taught their children the wonders of God. Sometimes we as parents fail in these things, we forget to teach our children all the good that God has done throughout the biblical history and in our lives alike.
