Do you want miracles or who does the miracle?

In this article we give an explanation of something that is happening at this time and that the Word tells us that this happened too in those times, and at that time, the crowd walked with Jesus, some for food, others for healing and others for salvation of their souls.

Our article today is based on the story of the ten lepers:

11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Luke 17:11-19

Only one of the ten who were healed returned to Jesus, prostrated and gave thanks. Jesus asked him about the other nine. Here we can see that very few people are grateful of God, most people turn away from God when they receive a miracle. But this man was grateful, he came back and thanked God.

In this day people only seek a transient earthly blessing (health, food, etc.) and when they achieve that blessing, they just move away, and they forget to seek salvation, which is eternal.

It is very important that we seek God not for what He can give us, but for what He is. It is good that our service to God be voluntary and with love, without expecting anything in return. God bless you.
