The prayer of a just person should always be based on the divine will of our God, giving thanks because in the midst of all difficulties The Lord is our refuge. God always goes hand in hand with the righteous, day and at night He sustains us.
Brothers, let us all take refuge in the Lord, because this is our true refuge, our good shepherd, as the psalmist David says, in no one else we can find peace and refuge, since there is no one like Him. His sustenance reaches us every day.
Let us believe the Lord every day, let us not hear negative voices that every day tell us that there is no refuge for the life of one who is in the ways of the Lord. The book of Psalms chapter 71 tells us about the Lord’s refuge:
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Psalm 71:1 (KJV)
In this psalm we can see the faith of the psalmist David, from the beginning we see his enormous trust in the Lord, nothing could stop this man.
The situations that this man could go through did not make him faint, this man knew that God would never abandon him, but that He would come to his aid.
Even though the psalmist was old, he had his faith and full trust in the Lord, so much so that he clearly says in the verse quoted: “Lord, I have taken refuge in You,” implying that it did not matter how old he was, because with all still continued to believe in the Lord until his last day.
