Sometimes we want to do everything by ourselves, thinking that we do not need help, but we are wrong, since there is one who is always attentive to everything and it is God, who has the last word.
Many tend to give up before reaching the road, others almost reach the goal, but despair comes to them and makes them forget that there is a powerful God who can help them.
Why do we say that God has the last word? For many reasons. There are those who start their paths on their own, others say they do not need help, and others believe that they are indispensable, that some things to be done is only up to them. But after a person gets tired of working and not reaching his goal, then the Lord comes and completes the work. The Bible says about this:
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.
Proverbs 16:1 (KJV)
This is a proverb of Solomon where he speaks clearly to us of the purposes and decisions of our God. No matter how much we plan and do, God is the one who has the last word.
Man can say today “I’m going to travel somewhere in the world”, but if God says “you’re not going”, it is because it does not suit you, if He commands you not to cross through a dark place, it is because you will not be safe. Let us remember that God knows all things and they were made by Him.
