Rich in mercy

What is being rich? One can be rich in many ways, although we mainly emphasize this word for those people who have a high economic position. But there is a wealth much better than money, and that wealth of wich we will talk about next is not possessed by human beings, but only is possessed by God: “Mercy.” You will say “But I have seen many people have mercy for others”. It is correct, but what you should know is that mercy is an attribute that belongs only to God and that He in His infinite love moves others to mercy.

The Bible speaks about the sublime and inexhaustible mercy of God from beginning to end. The apostle Paul said:

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,

5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:4-7

These verses highlight the mercy and love that God has had for us. What greater love exists than that a father gives his son as a sacrifice to save people? The love of God is the greatest that has existed and exists, there is no love that can overcome His great love. His mercy is greater than the wide sea and has no end.

We were dead in our transgressions and sins, and God did not leave us in that dark death, but He sent His only Son as a ransom for our salvation, and there is no other greater act of mercy than that which God has done for us.

You feel sad? Are you waiting for a miracle? I want to tell you that the greatest reason for joy in our lives is that Christ loves us as no one loves us and that the Father is rich in mercy. So He has promised to be with us until the end.
