Lord, You are my God

We have many things to thank God for. The simple fact of being able to wake up is a reason to say “My God, thank you”. The wonders of God have been notorious in our lives and the greatest wonder we can remember is that day that God brought us into His ways. And thank God for the death of His Son on the cross, because as a song says: “By His death I live today.”

There is a song by Marcos Vidal that says: “And pinch yourself when you feel the light of the sun.” Well, it’s true, we should thank God for everything, be grateful people no matter what our situation is. In the Bible we have read of many men of God who went through very difficult times.

The prophet Isaiah said:

1 Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.

2 You have made the city a heap of rubble,
the fortified town a ruin,
the foreigners’ stronghold a city no more;
it will never be rebuilt.

3 Therefore strong peoples will honor you;
cities of ruthless nations will revere you.

Isaiah 25:1-3

Our purpose on this earth is to give glory to God. There are people who when they see the calamity approaching begin to judge God, others to curse Him, but how good it is when as Christians we understand that regardless of the greatest storm, regardless of whether God gives us what we ask or not, regardless of the the most severe situation in which we find ourselves, we must continue believing in God and glorifying Him.

Dear brother, let us praise God with all our hearts and give thanks for His advice (the Bible) which guides us in our day to day life. Let’s be grateful every morning, every awakening, because there are many people who no longer have this opportunity or who at some point wasted it. Life is one, for which we must glorify God every moment.

The end of all things is near
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely
