If we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently

The Bible speaks to us many times about faith, it tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, on the other hand it tells us that faith is the certainty of what is expected and the conviction of what is not seen. It tells us about many men who trusted God with all their heart, without being able to see Him, and they were great vessels of God to show the world how powerful He is. That faith that accompanied these men also has to accompany us, not to bring fire down from heaven or to divide the sea, but to show that there is a God Creator of all things.

The Bible says:

22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Romans 8:22-25

We have hope, and this is a living hope, but at the same time it is a hope that can not even be seen, because it is very easy to wait for something you can see, but to wait for something that is not in front of your eyes is really faith and this is the faith that we should have as children of God: The faith to believe in the invisible.

The Bible also says:

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

We have to continue looking towards eternity, towards those things that our human eyes can not see. One day we will fully enjoy what we have been waiting for all these years, we should not back down, because we are not those who back away, but those who remain until the end, recognizing that our beloved and Lord Jesus Christ one day will come for us in the clouds, full of glory and power.

Let’s continue believing in God and maintaining that faith that believes beyond what can be seen.
