Do not fear, for I am with you

This is one of the promises that the Lord has made to us all the time, and that remains valid to this day. This is because He is a compassionate and merciful God. His promises are not temporary nor limited by time; they endure because they flow from His eternal character. God does not change, and therefore His words remain firm. From generation to generation believers have taken refuge in these same promises, finding strength, peace, and hope in the unshakable faithfulness of the Lord.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10

These promises are for everyone who follows His statutes and keeps His Word. But we must bear in mind that we must do God’s will and be faithful to Him, walking in the right way so that we can receive the promise of our Father. Obedience does not earn His love—it positions our hearts to receive what He has already prepared for us. When we walk in His paths, we walk under His protection, His guidance, and His blessing.

It is very important that we are sure of what we do and what we are going to do in the way of God, because the Lord sees all the works of our hands, whether they are good or bad. Nothing escapes His knowledge. He knows our motivations, our intentions, and our hidden struggles. And because He knows, He corrects, strengthens, and directs us so we may live according to His purpose. God desires sincerity and a heart fully given to Him.

But let us remember that we will be safe in the way of the Lord because the Angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear Him and delivers them. This protection is for those who believe in His Word and who believe that the Lord will come and save them from all evil. The presence of God surrounds His children like a shield. Although adversities may arise, His covering remains. Even when the enemy plans evil, God’s hand intervenes with power to deliver and sustain.

Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

Isaiah 41:11

If we read each book of the Bible, we will find different types of promises that the Lord has made to His children. But more than making promises, He fulfills them. His faithfulness is perfect. He does not promise something today and forget it tomorrow. Every word that comes from His mouth will be accomplished in due time. That is why we can trust Him fully—He is a just God who stands with His people in every season of life.

Let us remember that just as God was with Jeremiah, He was also with the other prophets and with all who did His will, and today He is with us. He strengthens us, guides us, and covers us with His breastplate. His presence did not end with the prophets of old; it continues with every believer who walks in His truth. The God who defended Daniel in the lions’ den, who upheld Elijah on Mount Carmel, and who protected David during persecution is the same God who walks beside us now.

It is good that we are well before the Lord and that we believe in Almighty God. We must always trust in Him, even when circumstances tell us otherwise. There is no other true God who cares for us and keeps us from all evil. His promises remain firm: God never fails. He fulfills everything He says because He is faithful, just, great, and true. As we cling to His promises and walk in obedience, we experience the depth of His love and the strength of His hand working in our favor. Let us hold firmly to His Word, for His promises are our refuge and strength.

The indescribable love of God
The infinite understanding of God

I must be quiet and trusting the Lord in all situations of my life, especially nowadays, when we are suffering this bad situation with this virus, this pandemic spreading throughout the World, which makes us fear to be attacked and maybe to die.

We always have the word of the Scriptures, as the Lord God tells believers, who trust in Him:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
    Isaiah 41:10

The Lord God is our refuge and strength…
By faith in God, through Jesus, we can repeat and believe that:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

May the Lord be honored and glorified by all people of the earth.
