The sadness will turn into joy

Sadness, who among us has never been sad? Every human being has had sad moments, extremely sad moments, those moments where we do not know what to do, how to act, what to say, how to respond to those painful moments of life, how to raise your head. It’s hard! And many times we do not know who to turn to at those times, and we conform to our thoughts and take the reins ourselves and see the world fall on top of us.

Did you know that all of our problems have an answer before God? There are many verses in the Bible that tell us about this, and if we take them and publish them here, we would fill these pages with thousands of words. The truth is that we have hope in the storm and that our sadness is not forever, because our joy comes from the Lord.

Jesus Christ said:

Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

John 16:20

We suffer a lot because of the Gospel, because we do not like this world but God. We suffer a lot for different personal situations that happen to us on a daily basis, and we cry for this, our forces fall and we say as the psalmist:

1 Hear my prayer, Lord; let my cry for help come to you.

2 Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.

3 For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers.

4 My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.

5 In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones.

6 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.

7 I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof.

Psalm 102:1-7

Here we see a man of God very desperate, plunged in pain and anguish, crying out to God from the depths of his soul, feeling powerless and even without God. It is natural that in our long pilgrimage we feel this, our soul mired in pain and despair.

A well-known preacher said: “The first days of Christians seem like a honeymoon, but as time goes by, sorrow appears and even God moves away from us, and this is so that we understand that without God we are nothing”. Has this happened to you? I think it has happened to all of us. But we must also understand that in the midst of so much sadness there is a peace that surpasses all understanding and that is the peace of God, which we can often even express.

Dear reader, I invite you to trust in God with all your heart and to understand that all this sadness and pain will soon turn into happiness because our Lord Jesus has promised it.
